Wow, its been so long

Suddenly time has just passed and its been ages since I have been on here. Life has been pretty hectic and mostly all good things had happened in the last months or so...

* My mum and dad came over from New Zealand and I flew up to Brisbane for a week to see them.

* My cousin also came over from New Zealand to stay with me for a few days before going to the Mountain Biking Championship in Canberra.

* Have just brought an outdoor table setting which means a good excuse to have a few beers with friends in the sun.

* I have a new lot of earrings and necklaces to be added in the next couple of weeks to my shop.

* Its Spring, and can't wait for summer

* Have had a few wholesale orders come through

So all in all lots of excitment in my life.

Manly Food and Wine Festival

Had a lovely relaxing weekend, make some new rings and pendants on Saturday of which I will be posting in my shop in the next few days. Watched a couple of DVD's, ate lots of chocolate and really treated myself to some time out.

To top off the weekend it was the Manly Food and Wine Festival which is held every year down on the beachfront in Manly. There are loads of food stalls selling steak sandwiches, paella, desert plates etc and wine stalls so you just wander around having some food and snacking away. Also caught up with some old friends that I used to work with. We have all drifted away doing different things but isn't it amazing how you can just pick up where you left off again. Ended up at the Boat Shed in Manly which is a dive but i love it and wandered home about 2am, Yes a bit sore yesterday, very slow. The only constructive thing I managed to do was cook a fab vegetable soup. It rocked.

New Designs

Hi everyone have been working like made in the last couple of weeks to get some new designs up and here they are am super stoked with them all love the colours. You can see more in my shop now.

A few of my favourite things

Just going through some of my faviourites in Etsy and I really want these now... Just need some sales so I can start spending some money. There are so many wonderful sellers on Etsy and so much great stuff.

Have a fab weekend everyone I am having friends over for Pizza and Beer tonight, could it get any better, and Sat night am going to a fundrasing dinner for doggie rescue so all in all a great weekend to be had.

Cake and lots of it

I am sitting here and its cold and chilly and raining outside and thinking about baking a cake, I do love baking but do not do it as much as I should but nothing better than getting a nice big slice of cake and a massive cup of tea and sitting down and watching a movie on a cold wet day....

Its just been tooo long

Well its been a bit of a long time since I have been here what with working part-time and walking a few dogs and feeding cats, my other little side business pet minding and making jewellery I have not had a lot of spare time. But in the last couple of months have managed to make some more sales on my etsy site, thought was never going to happen, have some new ideas for earrings etc, catching up with friends decided this weekend am going to totally relax and not do any work so me and a friend are driving to Orange about 3 1/5 hours from Sydney to catch up with an old flatmate of mine. Haven't seen him in over a year so am looking forward to having a beer or three.... Anyway just thought I would post this photo cause I love it of me (on the left) and two friends Malin and Ashlee.

In Bloom Resin Pendant

Have just listed this new pendant, I love it the colours are just great and would look nice in summer worn with a white top. I will be listing more pendants in the next few days so keep an eye out.

Not very energetic

I have not been feeling myself lately, have had a bit of flu and sinus and also my neighbours have been partying till late into the night and haven't had a good night sleep for over a week, but finally last night, after calling the real estate to complain about the noise, finally they were quiet and also came and apologised and said they didn't realise how noisy they were. Yay, finally. So I am feeling a little better today and am now a little more motivated to get some more pendants done tonight, can't wait I feel like I have not done anything new in a while and I also have Manly Markets on Saturday so need some more stock. Wish me well and thought I would post a few photos of Manly where I live.

Things I love

Well just to contine on from a couple of weeks ago, I know I have been really bad and not blogging for a while, just been taking some time away from the computer and enjoying some me time, going to the beach, spending time with friends and reading lots. .

I am crazy crazy crazy about animals, must be because I grew up on a farm in New Zealand and if I had my way I would have a little animal shelter and care for all those unwanted animals in the world but alas I live in a unit and cannot but I do have a cat, peggy and some gold fish which I am happy about until I win lotto and can buy a farm... Anyway have to share with you some photos I found. I want them all now, how cute.

Things I love - Part 1

I have decided to post a little subject on the things I love just so you can get to know a little more about me. So first up, Chocolate. Now who doesn't like chocolate, not be, I love it but not your ordinary daily milk, have moved up in the world and like the finer dark chocolate, yes I think I am getting old. Anyway my favourite desert for Christmas is Chocolate covered strawberries. I usually do these with all manner of things, I like to use both dark chocolate and white chocolate and I cover some in more chocolate sprinkles, or coconut or slivered almonds which is really nice. Yum Yum need to go to my favourite chocolate shop NOW!!!

Hi everyone, just hanging around like my new friend the green lizard.

Mars Bar Slice

I just have to share this recipe with everyone. This is the best slice ever and I think I am going to make some tonight. If you don't have any Mars Bars am sure you could use Snickers and it would be the same. Let me know if you try.

Mars Bar Slice
Ingredients
3 Mars Bars
90g butter
3 cups rice bubbles
200g melted chocolate (cooking or normal eating chocolate)

Method
Grease and line slice tin with baking paper
Melt Mars Bars with butter and mix with rice bubbles.
Pour mixture into tin.
Melt chocolate and pour over slice.
Let slice set in a cool place (or the fridge).
Remove slice from tin and cut into pieces.

More Valentines Stories to Share

My first serious boyfriend in college decided to cover my dorm room in roses - my roomie let him in while I was in classes. It was supposed to be romantic but I had never had anyone give me flowers before & I sort of freaked out. I ended up sobbing uncontrollably & my poor boyfriend was so confused. Needless to say I spoiled that Valentine's Day!

The worst present - a plaid denim workshirt from an ex-boyfriend. And the wrong size too.The best present - an engagement ring and proposal from my husband. We've been married almost 6 years now.Great giveaway!

I had to be away from my boyfriend for valentines day (and my birthday which is only 2 days earlier) one year, for a sporting event. When I got back to my hotel after a hard tournament, I found a dozen roses waiting for me in my room. Pretty fabulous. =)

This sounds weird but hubby got the oven fixed one year for Valentines. It was sweet because I bitched about it but not very romantic.

OK, so this was when I was 10 years old... I really liked this boy and I gave him a troll doll with a little heart on it... and so he brought it home and his mom FORCED him to give me a gift... and it was a PEN!!!! LOL!! Needless to say, he was not interested in my romantic efforts. ;)
